Single handicapper Yao Dogbe on Saturday shot impressively to record 46 points in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup at the Achimota Golf Club.
For his masterful performance, the 22-year-old, playing on handicap 2, took home a trophy and a Turkish Airlines Business Class ticket, which qualifies him for the World Golf Cup in Belek, Turkey in October.
In form Eric Gene, winner of Men’s Group B March Medal followed with 44 points. Kojo Ansah Mensah, 42 points and Samson Assorgbah 36.
Dark and tall Mary Prempeh finished as the ladies’ Nearest to the Pin winner, while Paul Gyasi picked the men’s edition.
Country Director of Turkish Airlines, Dincer Eroglu, in his speech indicated that the Turkish World Golf Cup since its inception in 2013, has expanded from 12 events in 12 countries to 100 across 59 countries.
He added, “This competition is the biggest corporate golf event of its kind in terms of countries reached, giving an indication of our commitment to this initiative and how determined we are to make it bigger and better year upon year.
“Winners at the grand finals will go on to play in the Pro-Am at the Turkish Airlines Open.
