Sampson Asorgba returned a net score of 69 to win Achimota Golf Club May Monthly Medal Championship played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra, at the weekend.
GolfHe was followed by Kofi Kusi-Boateng with 70 net while Yao Dogbe placed third with 71 net.
In the Group ?B?? segment, Geoffrey Coffie came first with 68 net, Bortei Doku took the second position with 69 net while the third position went to Abordi Klenn with 70 net.
Afia Konadu won the Ladies encounter with 67 net, Lynn Jonck placed second with 70 net while Jessica Tei took the third opposition with 71 net.
The one-day 18-Hole Medal Play which was opened to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region attracted 100 participants.
Mr Mike Aggrey, Vice President of the Achimota Golf Club, commended the participants for their sportsmanship behaviour exhibited and asked them to keep it up.
He called on corporate bodies and institutions to help develop the sport to international standards.
